Abstract:
Abstract: Objective To investigate the clinical effect of single-fiber polyethylene suture combined with scar-plaque in the
treatment of emergency maxillofacial trauma. Methods From February 2016 to January 2018, 153 patients with maxillofacial
trauma were selected and divided into observation group (78 cases) and control group (75 cases) according to different treatment
method. The control group was treated with conventional maxillofacial trauma debridement and suture method. The observation
group was treated with single fiber polyethylene suture combined with scar applicator. After 15 days of treatment, the clinical
treatment efficiency and recovery satisfaction of the two groups were compared. The wound healing time, wound healing score
and scar length of the two groups were analyzed. The incidence of adverse events in the recovery phase of the two groups was
observed and compared. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 71.79%, which was significantly higher
than that of the control group (56.00%). The difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P <0.05). The
wound healing score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, wound healing time and hospitalization
time. The difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was
(6.41%) lower than that in the control group (18.67%), and the treatment satisfaction was (89.74%) higher than the control group
(77.33%). The difference was statistically significant(P <0.05). Conclusion Single fiber polyethylene suture combined with
scar application can effectively improve the clinical treatment effect of patients with emergency maxillofacial trauma, improve
wound healing and reduce the occurrence of adverse events such as scar hyperplasia.
