Abstract:
Abstract: Objective To explore the significance of phosphatase and tension homology deleted on chromosome ten (PTEN)
and cyclin G1 (Cyclin G1) in hemangioma tissues. Methods The clinical data of 142 children patients with hemangiomas
were retrospectively analyzed. The protein expressions of PTEN and Cyclin G1 were compared between hemangioma tissues
and para-tumor tissues, between proliferative and regressive hemangioma tissues and between recurrent and non-recurrent
hemangiomas within 6 months after surgery. The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was used to evaluate the
predictive efficacy of the above indexes on recurrence of hemangiomas. The correlation between the above indexes and the
surface area, depth and microvessel density (MVD) of hemangiomas was analyzed by Pearson correlation coefficient model.
Results The expression of PTEN protein in hemangioma tissues was significantly lower than that in para-tumor tissues, and
the expression in proliferative hemangioma tissues was significantly lower than that in regressive hemangioma tissues, and
the expression in tissues with prognosis of recurrent hemangioma was significantly lower than that in tissues with prognosis
of non-recurrence (P <0.05). The expression of Cyclin G1 protein in hemangioma tissues was significantly higher than that
in para-tumor tissues, and the expression in proliferative hemangioma tissues was significantly higher than that in regressive
hemangioma tissues, and the expression in tissues with prognosis of recurrent hemangioma was significantly higher than that
in tissues with prognosis of non-recurrence (P <0.05). The sensitivity and specificity of combined detection of PTEN and
Cyclin G1 proteins were 64.10% and 78.64% in predicting recurrence. The PTEN protein expression in hemangioma tissues
was significantly negatively correlated with surface area, depth and MVD of lesions (r <0, P <0.05), and the Cyclin G1 protein
expression was significantly positively correlated with surface area, depth and MVD of lesions (r >0, P <0.05). Conclusion
There is a low expression of PTEN protein and overexpression of Cyclin G1 protein in hemangioma tissues, and the expression
levels are closely related to the disease condition and prognosis. They can provide guidance for the mechanism study of disease
occurrence and development and the evaluation of clinical prognosis.
