Abstract:
Abstract: Objective This article aims to explore the pro-angiogenic effect of KGF on rat skin wounds. Methods After
successful modeling of full-thickness defect, 12 rats were randomly divided into three groups. The blank group was not treated.
Blank collagen membrane was placed in the blank membrane group. Collagen membrane loaded with KGF was placed in the
KGF membrane group. The degree of vascularization of the wounds at 7 and 14 days after surgery was compared and analyzed.
Analysis was performed by gross specimen observation of wounds, histological staining, and immunolabeling. Results
Through the observation of gross specimens, it can be seen that although wounds in the blank group and the blank membrane
group have blood vessels that grow into the wound, the degree of vascularization in the central part was lower than that in
the KGF membrane group. Masson staining and immunofluorescence staining also confirmed that collagen membranes with
sustained release of KGF promoted local angiogenesis. Conclusion KGF can promote the vascularization of rat skin wound
healing process.
